Coffeeshop/Restaurant: Coffeeneuring without walls at Willowfork Park

Distance: 2.5 miles

Coffee: Drip

Food Items: Halloween Cookie

This was actually unexpected. I was helping out with our local scout troop at our invitational, and the kiddo and I decided to ride our bikes there, since it was being held at a park relatively close by, and because it was another gorgeous day.

Scouts planning to scout

And….someone brought us coffee! Bless their souls!

Scouts awaiting their time to scout

Any coffee that you receive as a gift is delicious. This was from the Kolache Factory.

And so after the event, the kiddo and I rode home. A very unexpected, but very welcome, coffeeneur!

Coffeeshop/Restaurant: Ooh La La Dessert Boutique

Distance: 3.1 miles

Coffee: Latte

Food Items: Astros Cupcake!

Y’all, it’s been an intense week at work. Many projects are being juggled, and I was mighty weary. Upon seeing that it was a Bones Day, I knew what I needed to do for self care:

Coffeeneuring

So I hopped on my bike and took off for coffee and a treat. And all that was cool, until the 35mph wind hit me in the face and I slowed to a crawl. It was a beautiful day to ride as long as you wanted to go 5mph.

But upon arriving at Ooh La La and procuring coffee and a cupcake, I felt the Bones Day in my….bones.

I remembered to get a pic of the bike this time!

With the Astros in the World Series, they also had awesome cookies with the Astros logo. I got one for the kiddo for his after school snack.

Go Stros!

I moseyed on back home all refreshed and renewed and ready to finish the workday!

Coffeeshop/Restaurant: Snooze

Distance: 3.53 miles

Coffee: Delicious Drip with a side of Phenomenal Pancakes!

This is a late post – I actually completed this ride on Friday, October 22, so it was my second ride on the first week of Coffeeneuring. I had a day off from work, so I decided to take a leisurely ride to coffee and breakfast at Snooze.

Coffee!

I must have been very hungry and not thinking clearly, because I got pictures of food, but not of the bike!

This ride was lovely on a warm and sunny day. I rode through our park and by our high school to Snooze, and I was certainly ready for breakfast when I arrived.

Yum….

After all those pancakes (which I could not finish), I was too full to ride back. I did remember that I had a package to pick up at the shop next door, so I waddled over to pick it up. This makes the ride a two for one – a coffeeneuring errandonee!

Eventually I made it back home with five pounds of pancake in my belly, and it was totally worth it. Week one complete!!

Coffeeshop: Starbucks

Distance: 2.35 miles

Coffee: Flat White

I did it! I kicked off coffeeneuring season with a short and easy ride to…. Starbucks!

So one advantage to living in Texas is that coffeeshops are plentiful and the riding is relatively easy! So I thought I would kick off the season with a ride that was also easy – to the Starbucks. I ride this route with my son regularly, so it was an easy ride on a beautiful day.

I’m not the only cyclist at Starbucks today!

I didn’t get to ride until lunchtime, so I got a snack also. I got a little creative with my Starbucks options:

Deconstructed…
Escher was here
And finally a sammich!

All in all, it was a good ride. My reconstructed sammich was tasty, as was the Flat White; the day was sunny; and I was on a bike. What’s not to like? A successful return to Coffeeneuring!
